North Korean Vessel Kum Un San 3 - Image 1
Image of North Korean vessel Kum Un San 3 from December 6, 2017 at coordinates 31-26N and 124-31E. Also shows a closeup of vessel's stern with three pieces of information depicted: (1) falsely indicates that vessel name is KUS, (2) falsely indicates the vessel ports in Dalian, China; and (3) falsely indicates vessel IMO number as 8660909, the IMO number belonging to the general cargo vessel Zhi Kun 6, which was in a different location when the image was taken.

North Korean Vessel Chon Ma San - Image 3
Closeup image of North Korean vessel Chon Ma San from December 6, 2017 at coordinates 30-52N, 124-31E. The bridge exterior shows falsified IMO number 8660818 painted on the exterior of the vessel, which is the IMO number for Chinese-flagged barge Shenyuan 2. The Chon Ma San's IMO number is 8660313, so apparently the 3s were changed to 8s.

North Korean Vessel Chon Ma San - Image 4
Overhead image of North Korean vessel Chon Ma San stern showing falsified information painted on the hull. The painted information falsely identifies the vessel name as Whale with port Freetown, Sierra Leone. There are two current and two former vessels with that name, none of which are flagged in Sierra Leone and none of which are oil tankers as the Chon Ma San is.
