Publication of Introduction to OFAC Guide

Today, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is publishing an "Introduction to the Office of Foreign Assets Control" guide, to provide U.S and foreign persons a foundational understanding of how OFAC sanctions work and how to comply with them, including how to request a license from OFAC, how persons may be removed from an OFAC sanctions list, and how OFAC enforces its sanctions. This guidance is intended as a resource the public can use to better understand OFAC's expectations and thereby continue strengthening the effectiveness of OFAC sanctions.
