Publication of Final Rule to Remove the Syria Sanctions Regulations

The Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is amending the Syrian Sanctions Regulations to remove them from the Code of Federal Regulations, consistent with Executive Order 14312 of June 30, 2025, “Providing for the Revocation of Syria Sanctions.” This regulatory amendment is currently available for public inspection with the Federal Register and will take effect upon publication in the Federal Register on August 26, 2025.
