Amendment of the Iranian Transactions and Sanctions Regulations

 

The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is issuing an amendment to the Iranian Transactions and Sanctions Regulations, 31 C.F.R. part 560 (ITSR), in furtherance of the President’s May 8, 2018 decision to cease the United States’ participation in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.  This regulatory amendment is currently available for public inspection with the Federal Register and will be effective upon publication in the Federal Register on Monday, November 5, 2018.  OFAC plans to issue additional guidance related to the snapback of Iran sanctions on that day.
