Publication of General License No. 2 - Libyan Diplomatic Missions in the United States

On March 1, 2011, OFAC issued General License No. 2 in the sanctions program established by Executive Order 13566, “Blocking Property and Prohibiting Certain Transactions Related to Libya.” This general license authorizes the provision of goods and services in the United States to the diplomatic missions of the Government of Libya to the United States and the United Nations, as well as payment for such goods and services, under certain conditions. The general license also authorizes the provision of goods and services to the employees of the diplomatic missions of the Government of Libya to the United States and the United Nations, as well as payment for such goods and services, under certain conditions.
