Issuance of Amended Libya General License

OFAC has issued the following Amended General License for travel to Libya.

The Amended General License for transactions relating to travel to Libya is being issued to clear up an ambiguity in § 550.574 arising from the fact that the booking of travel to or from Libya is prohibited under both § 550.207 and § 550.203 of the Libyan Sanctions Regulations, 31 C.F.R. Part 550. The purpose of the amendment is to clarify that the booking of travel to or from Libya for U.S. persons by U.S. travel service providers is authorized, whether such services are prohibited by § 550.207 or § 550.203. However, other transactions prohibited by § 550.203, including code sharing, remain prohibited.
